NORTHWEST HILLS

NORTHWEST HILLS

In this Northwest Hills transformation, we reimagined an underutilized backyard into a clean, architectural outdoor living space designed for both comfort and performance. Every element from structural foundation to final plantings was built with precision and long-term durability in mind.

BUILDING THE FOUNDATION

The transformation began with full excavation of the existing yard and installation of a new structural concrete slab. We redesigned the layout from the ground up, correcting grading and implementing engineered drainage solutions to resolve previous water flow issues and ensure long-term performance. This foundational phase established the structural integrity required to support the pavilion, outdoor kitchen, and hardscape elements that followed.

A CANTILEVERED PAVILION AS THE ANCHOR

The centerpiece of this project is a custom cantilevered steel pavilion, designed to create a bold architectural statement while providing shaded comfort. Integrated lighting, ceiling fans, and a slatted privacy wall elevate both function and aesthetics.

The pavilion defines the outdoor living zone, seamlessly blending modern structure with the surrounding natural landscape.

CUSTOM OUTDOOR KITCHEN

Beneath the pavilion, we constructed a modern white stucco outdoor kitchen topped with Lueders limestone. The space includes a built-in grill, refrigerator, storage cabinetry, and full electrical integration for effortless entertaining. Every detail was designed for both durability and visual impact, creating a functional extension of the home.

LANDSCAPE & FINISHING TOUCHES

Outdoor-rated porcelain tile was installed across the patio surfaces to create a refined, cohesive look. Artificial turf replaced traditional lawn areas for a low-maintenance, year-round green finish.

Limestone-crushed gravel, modern planters, and curated plantings complete the design, softening the hardscape elements and tying the entire space together.
